Cayuga Computer's flagship system

This model balances screaming fast state of the art technology with budget pressures.
First, the compromise. This system is not a Pentium II system. We will soon be releasing a Pentium II version of this machine.
Even so, this machine is screaming fast. Why?
First, we use SDRAM that runs at 10 nanoseconds... much faster than the 60 or 70 nanosecond EDO RAM in most systems.
Second, we use a Ultra DMA IDE drives. The transfer rate of Ultra DMA is 33 MB/sec... better than SCSI-2... and much faster than normal IDE. Most motherboards do not support Ultra DMA. The Cayuga does.
We top this off with a speedy Diamond Stealth 3D 2400XL, a CTX 17" monitor, your choice of a Microsoft or Logitech mouse, and of course an Iomega Zip drive.

Speaking of the Zip, you'll notice that this machine does not come with a legacy 1.44MB 3.5" floppy drive standard. It is our understanding that this is the first commercially available computer model that does not come with a legacy floppy drive standard.
Cayuga Computers thinks that the legacy 1.44MB floppy is an obsolete beast that needs to be replaced by the Zip drive. The legacy 1.44MB floppy, at this point in time, is an unnecessary expense for many people that do not need to transfer data via floppy, or that have a floppy on their network (or their sneakernet).
This also frees up a drive bay for a Jaz drive or a tape drive.
We do realize that many people still need to have one in their machine, so we do offer the legacy 1.44Mb floppy as an option for only $25.
